Marty Colwell retires after nearly 28 years at American Dornier

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Marty Colwell, sales manager of American Dornier Machinery Corp., retired at the end of 2020 after nearly three decades of service to the company.
“Marty is a well-known and respected expert in his field and he will leave quite a gap at American Dornier,” said Peter Brust, executive vice president of the U.S. arm of Germany-based weaving machine OEM Lindauer Dornier GmbH. “With his modest demeanor, he always put the interest of our customers first and was a sought-after source of knowledge and information.”
Brust added: “We are grateful for his loyalty over the years and wish him all the best for many years of retirement to come.”
Colwell joined American Dornier in 1993 after having served at Louis P. Batson Co. and Milliken & Co. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Florida State University.
