Devan’s BI-OME antimicrobial EPA registered in every state
Posted April 22, 2021
As the COVID-pandemic has focused consumer more on “clean” and with an increased sustainability focus by Gen Z and others, Devan sees a strong uptake in its BI-OME antimicrobial range to protect textile for odor control.
Just like silver-based technologies, the Devan non-metal, non-silver antimicrobial gives +99% protection, even after intensive laundries.
BI-OME being a non-metal, non-silver based technology is EPA and EU-BPR registered, bluesign registered, Oekotex Class 1 listed and is 70% 4 days OECD 302 B biodegradable.
Besides textile use, BI-OME is increasingly used for hard surfaces protection. Of course, it helps that the product is EPA registered in all U.S. states, thereby facilitating transport and delivery wherever the customer needs it.
Devan, with world headquarters in Ronse, Belgium and U.S. offices in Greenville, S.C., will be showing at Techtextil North America in Raleigh, N.C., August 23-25, and company officials said they look forward to seeing many there for discussions and trial work.
