Smithers’ Digital Textile Printing Conference 2020 going virtual

The Smithers team has been diligently reviewing new solutions and formats to ensure it can still hold its annual Digital Textile Printing (DTP) Conference.


Smithers announced that it has made the decision to transform DTP into a fully online event, which will take place Oct. 15-16. 


Planners said they believe this is the best option to provide attendees, speakers and sponsors with the certainty they need to plan their participation and maximize the value from the event in a safe and reliable way.


Rather than trying to replicate an online version of the live event, organizers will be making some changes to the event schedule that enhance the attendee experience, and will leverage online tools that maximize the value you can receive from the event to make the most of your participation.


Smithers’s Digital Textile Printing Conference (DTP) is the key place to have technical discussions around commercializing digital print for the textile industry. Since 2017 Digital Textile Printing U.S. has offered new opportunities for high-end fashion brands, luxury home/interior design brands, automotive interior designers and more to network and engage with textile printers, equipment and ink suppliers and material suppliers from across the value chain.


Digital Print is growing strongly in the textile industry, where it represents a cost-effective alternative to dyeing or screen printing everything from bed linen to clothing. Digital printing for textile continues to be a growing market as the need for low-costs and fast turnaround times are in higher demand. The market is driven by personalization of clothing items, fashion mini-seasons, automated workflows, direct-to-garment printing and the ability to create new business potential and shorter delivery time by bringing textile printing back to the U.S.
